Pro-Israel Christian Leaders to be Honored by Knesset Christian Caucus and World Jewish Congress

In June 18, 2011, the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus (KCAC) and World Jewish Congress (WJC) will Honor Pro-Israel Christian Leaders at an event that will mark seven years of caucus activity celebrating the Fifth Annual “Night to Honor our Christian Allies” bringing Christian leaders together from five continents.

Knesset members from across the political spectrum will join both Jews and Christians at the Inbal hotel at 7pm for a reception in honor of Christians who have been steadfast in their commitment to Israel.

This year, European-based Karel van Oordt, founder of the pro-Israel, Christians for Israel, will be recognized for his activities on behalf of Israel. Marisa Albert, executive director of the East Gate Foundation, will also be honored for her contribution to Israeli tourism.

The KCAC is a bi-partisan caucus comprised of eighteen Knesset members from across the political spectrum. Established in 2004 by the late Dr Yuri Shtern, it is now chaired by Knesset Member David Rotem. The caucus aims to forge direct lines of communication between Knesset members and Christian leaders and political organizations around the world.

The WJC, founded in 1936 in response to the Nazi threat, represents Jewish communities and organizations in almost 100 countries from six continents. WJC helps Jewish communities and promotes its spiritual, cultural, and social heritage.

Pro-Israel Christian people are very involved in the well-being of the State of Israel, supporting it politically as well as economically. In the USA, the Christian Lobby is a strong and cohesive group with a firm and extended helping hand to the Jewish country, Israel.
