Lonely Planet, the world’s leading travel content provider, has announced the winner of its online photo mosaic competition. The competition was created to celebrate the publication of its 100 millionth guidebook of their 100 million travel stories.
The winner is a fantastic photograph of five women on stage posing at India’s largest camel fair at Puskar ka Mela—a camel and livestock fair held in Rajasthan for five days each year.
The photograph was taken by Indian national Sreesailam Pasupula, 33, from Mumbai. A panel of experts choose Pasupula’s photograph from more than 130,000 entries submitted to the travel guide. As the first prize winner, Pasupula received a trip for two round the world.
The owners of Lonely Planet declared “We received over 130,000 spectacular photos from around the world.
