Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to open session of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations 2012 Annual Leadership Mission
This Sunday, 19th February, at the Inbal Hotel in Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will open the Conference of Presidents Leadership Mission. The event, open to the media, will be preceded by an address by the Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat, and a press conference with Conference of Presidents Chairman Richard B. Stone and Executive Vice Chairman Malcolm Hoenlein.
The visiting delegation is composed of more than 100 Jewish leaders, representing the Conference of Presidents’ 50-plus member organizations. The 38th Annual Leadership Mission will take place February19-23. Details of media registration for the opening evening and an itinerary with panels and speakers will be released shortly.
In addition to Prime Minister Netanyahu and Mayor Barkat, delegates will meet with the President of the State of Israel Shimon Peres, as well as key government officials, military and defense leaders, outstanding analysts, experts and media representatives.
Throughout the five-day conference, panels and speakers will address issues including the international community’s response to the Iranian nuclear threat, the delegitimization of Israel, regional developments, Israel’s social trends, anti-Semitism and Jewish identity.
For nearly 60 years, the Conference of Presidents has been the preeminent umbrella organization and the effective advocate for organized American Jewry on vital issues of international and national interest.
