A joint Israeli-Palestinian photo exhibition was be opened on Monday, December 19 at the Arab-Jewish Community Center in Jaffa
This photography exhibition was produced under Save a Child’s Heart “Heart of the Matter” Program sponsored by the European Union’s Partnership for Peace program.
Four photographers, two Palestinian and two Israeli, documented the Heart of the Matter project in Israel and in the Palestinian Authority.
The photographs on display tell the story of Palestinian children suffering from heart disease through the eyes of the photographers as well as the ongoing daily cooperation between the Palestinian and Israeli physicians working together in order to save these children’s lives.
This photography exhibition will be displayed in Israel and in Nablus (Shchem) and will serve as a tangible expression of the hope for a peaceful future, generating a more positive opinion of the “other” among both Palestinians and Israelis.
