Israel expresses solidarity with Bulgaria on its flooding natural disaster
In its ongoing PR effort of being a good neighbor, Israel expressed its good will to Bulgaria.
Israel expressed its full solidarity with the Bulgarian people after a dam in southern Bulgaria burst last Monday February 6, 2012 and after days of heavy rain, sending a 2.5-meter torrent surging through a village along the Greek border. The disaster brought the region’s toll from flooding to eight dead, 10 missing.
The following was the declaration from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
Israel conveys its sympathy to Bulgaria and would like to assure its citizens of our compassion and support on their day of mourning. We stand firmly on the side of our Bulgarian friends and are willing to do whatever they require in order to bring assistance and support.
Our thoughts and feelings of friendship are with the people and government of Bulgaria in this difficult time. We send our condiolences to the families who have lost their loved ones, and our wishes of quick recovery to all those injured and affected by this disaster.
