Arctic and glacial ice-scape photo contest
October 7, 2010
Wired magazine is doing a photo contest in preparation for the winter about the Arctic and its cool scenes that evoke freezing temperatures, also known as ice-scape sceneries.
Any person can submit photographs of their own (the ideal size being 800 pixels to 1200 pixels or larger on the longest side) as well as vote for his/her favorites among the other submissions. The 10 highest-ranked photos will appear in the gallery’s magazine on the Wired.com homepage.
As of today, there are more than 100 entries from various and diverse “cold” motives including persons, animals, snow, glaciers, trees, water, towns, bridges, mountains, icicles dripping, red noses and more.
Here we’re including a couple of nice photos taken in “The Glaciales” area at the Patagonia, South of Argentina, near the Perito Moreno Glacial. The photos included here were taken by the author of this article, A. Aizenman.
