Agro Mashov 2011, Israel’s greatest annual international agriculture exhibition

The Agro Mashov 2011, considered as the greatest annual international agriculture exhibition will be held next year on March 2-3, 2011, at the Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Center.

As an answer to the massive increase in global population and in demand for fresh food from plants and livestock, water and soil utilization solutions are to be presented by hundreds of firms from around the world at this exhibition in Israel. This is the central meeting point of agriculture in Europe, Asia, and Africa which will bring together approximately 20,000 guests from 50 different countries.

Since the 1950′s, the agricultural industry in Israel successfully introduced advanced methods of maximal land utilization even in extreme weather conditions. The utilization of saline and recycled water and modern irrigation solutions, including dripping and trellising-using growing, were recommended by the UN for worldwide utilization, which solidified Israel’s position as a world leader in modern agricultural technology.

Governments and organizations across the world invest hundreds of millions of dollars per annum in agricultural R&D with the purpose of meeting the increasing need to feed more and more people in each successive year. Together with the increase in quality and level of life comes the increasing demand for agricultural produce. The exhibition will allocate a central part to firms offering solutions for exploitation of agricultural areas for production of green and alternative energy, as the production of “bio-diesel.”
